We Need to Use Personal Hygiene Wipes – Doctors Shockingly Claim Americans Don’t Know How to Wipe Their Own Backsides
Doctors warn that using toilet paper isn’t doing a proper job of cleaning. They also claim that it can lead to serious health problems.
While other countries commonly use bidets to wash after using the bathroom, Americans are relying on dry toilet paper to clean up. A great alternative is to use personal hygiene wipes.
Celebrities such as musician Will.i.am happily tout the benefits of using wet wipes over regular toilet paper.
To prove his point he says “Get some chocolate, wipe it on a wooden floor, and then try to get it up with some dry towels. You’re going to get chocolate in the cracks”.
He has a point.
However, cleanliness isn’t the only reason people should consider using alternatives to toilet paper.
Aggressive wiping can cause painful anal fissures, which are tears in the lining of the rectum. They can take up to 12 weeks to heal. They can cause bleeding and pain during a bowel movement.
Hemorrhoids, which are swollen veins and tissue in the lower rectum and anus, can also be irritated by wiping with dry toilet paper.
Incorrect wiping can also lead to a urinary tract infection. When women wipe from back-to-front they risk transferring bacteria from the anus towards the urethra.
So Why Use Personal Hygiene Wipes?
Using a bidet or a personal hygiene wipe kills or washes away any bacteria. This means that the risk of infection is drastically minimized.
